I seriously hate this topic in regards to "Girl Gamers" on Twitch. It's not as straight forward as some of us would like to think.
WARNING! This is how I percieve the matter, it is by no means HOW and WHAT things should be/are.

So to clarify for you people if you have not been in the reddit loop. A shit storm happened between two streamers (one male and one female) and the female streamer used her viewers to report said male streamer and their channel (male streamer) was shut down/banned. THIS EVENT IS WHAT BROUGHT THE DISCUSSION UP, NOT THE MAIN TOPIC OF THE THREAD. The shit between these two are a separate topic all together to be honest if you want to go into more detail.
The actual problem (as some of us would like to think) was infact another (different) female streamer. She was, to be blunt, selling her body (more through sexually suggestive content) on her stream to cash in on donations and subscriptions. The fight from the other two brought this stream to light.
So what is all the fuss about you say? Twitch is at fault here. In the Twitch TOS, it clearly says they're against sexually suggestive and lewd content from the streamer (my internet is way too slow at the moment for me to find and paste the exact line).
Don't get me wrong, I have no issues if people want to use their bodily assets to cash in if that's all they're in for. Money is money! We can't live without it unfortunately.
MY first problem is that it's on TWITCH, a platform to showcase GAMEPLAY. We go to Twitch to watch GAMEPLAY, not see a facecam with a 100x100 image of the game in the corner 90% of the time UNLESS it's a game that emphasizes on emotional reaction. If twitch were to make a new category such as Fluff, then sure, at least this type of content has a place to flourish! I just want shit like this to be separated for what they are! Gameplay as gameplay and peacocking as peacocking.
MY second problem is how Twitch reinforces their TOS. THEY ARE VERY INCONSISTENT! If a small time streamer breaches TOS then their channel is immediately investigated and ultimately banned right off the bat. If it's a larger streamer with a viewer base + sub money coming through, they're pretty much immune to everything. The moment money is involved, everything changes. If anything, viewers need to push this problem to twitch because they are the ones in control. If a streamer can get away with something + reap cash from it, of course they'll keep toeing that line till the boss batts an eye in their direction.
TLDR - Peacock streamers who cash in are able to get away with breaching TOS. Twitch is inconsistent with reinforcing their TOS. Halp!
